Govetts Leap Catchment Group has had a successful first year. Highlights include:
- Mapping serious weed problems and drainage issues across the urban areas of the catchment and reporting these to Council
- Creating a website and Facebook page
- Four meetings and a field trip with Council and Parks staff, and an informal meeting with local Councillors
- Creating and disseminating 6 weed education posters
- Facilitating over 100 hours of volunteer bushcare at the Blackheath Golf Course to remove a long-standing weed infestation in a bushland area
- Writing to transport authorities regarding weeds in the rail corridor
